23 Days Tour Going for a Wild Ride by Motorcycle
From Xinjiang to Tibet

(Tuogart Pass / Kashgar / Ali / Kailash / Xigaz / Lhasa--
--Xigaz / Tingri / Everest / Tingri / Nylam / Zhangmu Pass)

Day 01 enter into China from Tuogart Pass, further transfer to the downtown and check in The Xing Long Hotel (***) for night;

Day 02 it must be Sunday. Sunday is bazaar day in Kashgar, site of perhaps the largest and longest running bazaar in Central Asia. As many as 100,000 people come in from surrounding areas to buy and sell animals and goods. Early in the morning you can see streams of people in donkey carts coming in to market. There are separate areas for animals, furniture, fabric, clothing, shish kebobs, shaves with a straight razor (including scalp), fruits and vegetables, and much more. In the animal bazaar care needs to be exhibited as horses and donkeys are being "test-driven". Also in the animal bazaar you can find cattle, sheep, goats, and camels - all in a fairly small, walled-in area. When you are in the midst of all this, you may feel like you have stepped back in time several hundred years. Sunday bazaar is now split in two parts with the main bazaar in East Kashgar city and the animal bazaar which is out of town about 3km. After breakfast you will be free to roam the bazaar. Stay in the your hotel for night;

Day 03 drive along the State Road No.315 first until arriving at Kaglik via famous Yarkand town.
Then start to climb along the State Road No.219. Camp for night at the southern foot of Maza Pass. Distance today by driving from Kashgar is around 500 km. The highest point today is Maza Pass (4900 meters above sea level);

Day 04/06 continue climbing along this road via Jiashan Pass (5900 meters above sea level). Camp for night on the way;

Day 07 arrive at Shi Quan He (Ali) town and check in a hotel for night. Distance from Kaglik to Shi Quan He is almost 1300 km. Check in the Ali Hotel (**) for night. Average altitude on this distance is about 4500 meters above sea level. Road condition is not as good as highway between Kashgar and Kaglik but it is good enough for motor bike;

Day 08 a relaxing day at this 4500 meter high town;

Day 09/10 keep your driving along this Roof of World until arriving at Mt Kailash. Camp on the way for night;

Day 11 start your trekking around Mt Kailash with yaks. Camp for night

Day 12 keep your trekking Camp for night.

Day 13 keep your trekking in the morning, meet your jeep again in the late afternoon and keep your driving towards Zhongba. Check in a guesthouse , or camp for night. The driving distance today is more than 380 km. Driving speed today is much faster.

Day 14 keep your driving until you arrive at Saga today. This day is a little bit easy day and check in a guesthouse or camp for night;

Day 15 leave for Sang Sang. Camp for night. Distance today is about 200 km by the same condition way;

Day 16 continue your driving until arriving at Xigaz city. Distance today is about 290 km on much better road. Check in the Grand Shan Dong Hotel;

Day 17 keep moving by driving on a very good highway and reach at Lhasa at lunch time. Check in the Himalaya Hotel (****) for night;

Day 18 city Tour;

Day 19 city Tour;

Day 20 try to reach at Tingri via Xgaz city. Camp for night on the way. Distance today is about 350 km;

Day 21 pass over Tingri and climb up until arriving at the Climbing Base Camp of Mt Everest. Camp for night. Distance today is about 280 km. Altitude at this base camp is about 5300 meters above seal level;

Day 22 come down from the base camp, following the same way try to arrive at Nylam via the Old Tingri. Check in the Snowland Hotel (**) for night Distance today is about 200;

Day 23 finally, arrive at the Zhangmu Pass and exit China, continue your journey until you arrive at Kathmandu. All the services end;

Day 01 enter into China from Zhangmu Pass, further transfer to the Snowland Hotel for night;

Day 02 drive up to Tingri first and then move to Mt Everest. Camp for night on the way;

Day 03 arrive at the base camp of Mt Everest and camp for night;

Day 04 go back to Tingri first, then keep moving toward Xigaz and try to arrive at this second biggest city before dark. Check in the Shandong Dasha Hotel for night. Distance today is about 350 km;

Day 05 it is not very difficult driving today. It takes about 3 hours to reach at Lhasa, the capital city and check in the Himalaya Hotel for night. Distance today is only 300km on a very good highway;

Day 06/07 city tours -- take a ride by bus to Visit the Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park …

Day 08 you are on the way again to move up until arriving at Lazi. As you know road between Lhasa and Xigaz is perfect but it is getting worse and worse from Xigaz. Camp for night. Distance today is about 470 km;

Day 09 try to reach at Sang Sang. Distance today is about 200 km only. Road is terrible;

Day 10 keep your driving until arriving at Saga. Camp for night. Distance today is only about 170 km but difficult driving;

Day 11 keep your moving by driving until reach at Zhong Ba. Camp for night. Distance today is only about 170 km by another difficult driving;

Day 12 continue your driving, pass over Mapangyongcuo Lake and finally arrive at Mt Kailash.
Camp for night. Distance today is about 350 km. Route condition gets much better;

Day 13 start your trekking around Mt Kailash with yaks. Camp for night

Day 14 keep your trekking Camp for night.

Day 15 keep your trekking in the morning, meet your jeep again in the late afternoon and keep your driving towards Shi Quan He (Ali). Camp for night on the way;

Day 16 start your driving again until arriving at Shi Quan He (Ali) finally. Check in the Ali Hotel for night. Ditnce today is about 200 km;

Day 17 a relaxing day at this 4500 meter high town;

Day 18 start your difficult journey again, drive down a little bit. Then climb again, pass over Duo Ma and try to reach at the foot of Jieshan Pass before dark. Camp for night. Distance today is about 300 km. Road condition today is getting more easy;

Day 19 climb over Jieshan Pass, drive down as far as you can. Camp for night. Distance today is about 300 km;

Day 20 climb over the Jieshan Pass (5900 m), the highest point on the way, keep your easy driving, pass over Kang Xi Wa and try to reach at Maza. Camp for night. Distance today is about 350 km;

Day 21 climb over Maza Pass (4900 m), pass over Kudi and move down to Kaglik and try to get this first town before dark. Check in the Electric Hotel for night. Distance today is about 250 km;

Day 22 continue your easy driving again. Reach at Yarkand city first. Spend a couple of hours to have a short city tour specially in the old part of this town. Then keep your moving until arriving at Kashgar finally in the late afternoon. Over night in the Xing Long Hotel. Distance today is about 260 km on a very good highway;

Day 24 Leave for the Tuogart Pass by jeep. The distance from Kashgar to the Tuogart Pass is about 180 kilometers. It normally takes you about 1 hours to get through the customs. Then further driving to the border takes you another 3 hours. The road condition from Kashgar to the customs is highway but from the customs to the border is sand road and it is good enough for bus to drive on. The flood season normally in this area is in August. The main road sometimes is washed by flood. We normally prepare box lunch for clients who are going to exit from this pass.
